PRODUCT QUESTIONS
- What can I sell through Consider It Sold?
- The list of what can be sold through Consider It Sold would be too lengthy to even consider writing (or reading). It is easier to list what "cannot" be sold. eBay has gone to great lengths to supply an intensive list of what is "not" acceptable to sell. To find out the basics, review eBay's Restricted & Regulated Item List.
- Is there anything Consider It Sold won't sell?
- Do you sell cars and boats?
- Yes. Consider It Sold sells vehicles. Basically, if it has a license plate we can sell it.
- Do you sell real estate?
- No, not at this time. We're working to add this capability for our clients, so check back.
- Do you sell firearms?
- No. Heavy regulations regarding the sale and shipping of firearms makes it impossible for eBay to allow such sales. However, we "do" sell firearm accessories which include, but are not limited to:
- Holsters
- Scopes and mounts
- Parts (as deemed acceptable by eBay policies)

- No. That's part of the auction process.
- Why do you take pictures and make note of chips, scratches and other damage to my product?
- By making note of any imperfections in the product you're auctioning we better ensure that the bidders are thoroughly informed. This cuts down on product returns and gets you your money from a successful auction quicker.
- Are there any hidden fees?
- No. All fees are clearly outlined on our Fees page. We post this so that our customers know approximately what to expect for payment when their auctions complete.
- What is a "lot?"
- A "lot" is a collection of items grouped together in the hopes of getting a higher price.
- I have several items being sold through Consider It Sold and gave permission for some items to be grouped into lots. Who decides how to group my items for the best auction price?
- That would depend on the items brought in. The staff at Consider It Sold each have their own areas they specialize in. We rely on their expertise to decide on how products should be grouped.

SELLING YOUR PRODUCT
- Why do you start most auctions at $9.99? Wouldn't it make more sense to start the bidding price higher?
- Consider It Sold is an experienced eBay seller and has sold thousands of items on eBay. In our experience, selecting a very low starting price with our Basic Service and no initial charge creates buyer frenzy or bidding war and usually results in a higher selling price. For instance, we start 2 identical digital cameras with the same item description on eBay. The first was started with an opening bid of $199 and the second was started with an opening bid of $0.99. Both items sold, however, the first camera sold for a total of $199 and had only one bid while the second camera sold for $283 and had 31 bids.
- What is a "Reserve?"
- A reserve is an amount that the product will not sell for less than.
- Should I have a reserve on my items? Wouldn't it ensure that I get what I want for my product?
- That would depend on the product. Consider It Sold is an experienced eBay seller and has sold thousands of items on eBay. - Is there a way I can see how my auctions are doing?
- Yes. At the bottom of every page on this website is a "Clients: View Your Auctions" box. Simply put the letters "CIS" along with your Consider It Sold client number (such as CIS709) into the search box and press Enter. A new browser window will pop up and list your auctions.
- I have multiple auctions with Consider It Sold - is there a way I can see ALL of my auctions at once and see how they're doing?
- Yes. At the bottom of every page on this website is a "Clients: View Your Auctions" box. Simply put the letters "CIS" along with your Consider It Sold client number (such as CIS709) into the search box and press Enter. A new browser window will pop up and list your auctions. This listing will include all your auctions currently running.
- I tried to view my auctions and nothing happened. What's wrong?
- It's probably that you have your pop-up blocker running. Since the "Clients: View Your Auctions" tool opens a new window, pop-up blockers will stop this function from occuring.
To cure this problem, simply add Consider It Sold to the accepted sites for pop-ups. There are no pop-up ads, etc. to worry about through Consider It Sold. The only pop-ups are directly related to the site.
- I only see some of the items I brought into Consider It Sold listed in my auctions. Where are the rest?
- As our employees each have specialties regarding researching different items, it's common to have two, or even three people working on different aspects of a client's account. This means that different items may be ready for auction at different times (china may be ready before a piece of electronics, etc.).
If you don't see everything you brought in among your personal auction listings, simply check back in a day or two.

AFTER YOUR AUCTION IS COMPLETED
- My auction finished and not for as much as I was hoping for. Can I auction it again and try for more?
- No. Once the auction is complete whatever the item sells for is the final price.

PAYMENT
- How does the payment process work?
- Once the items are purchased at auction the following happens:
- The buyer pays for the product
- Once payment is received, Consider It Sold will professionally package the items and ship them according to the buyer's request at the time of purchase.
- When the product has arrived at their location and is found to be in the condition described, Consider It Sold will inform the accountant of a successful sale.
- The accountant will issue a check and mail it to the address on your Consider It Sold client contract.
- How long does it take to get my check?
- Typically around 30 days. Consider It Sold can't offer an "exact" time due to needing to research the product and once a successful auction ends, waiting for the buyer to pay.
- Does the check "have" to be mailed? Can't I just come by the store and pick it up?
- We're afraid not. Our accountant is at another location and mails the client checks from their location.
- Is there a way to speed up getting my money?
- We're afraid not. Consider It Sold is designed to offer clients a fast, effective way of taking advantage of the eBay process. We have streamlined the eBay process for the public and issue checks for successful auctions weekly. By offering weekly pay-outs, our clients recieve their money quickly.
